Nurses Rooms Option - any Summer Date for group B&B
or for couples on a Budget Holiday in South Wales
Offers Useful Overflow rooms when en-suites are full
At weekends if en-suites unavailable, the 'Nurses' budget non-ensuites at £35/ person are an inexpensive alternative.
'Nurses' Rooms are so called because the Castle was once a Hospital and this is where the Nurses lived. Basins in each room, loos & showers one end. Galley kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink, small counter top oven with twin hobs (not a full size oven). Handy for storing dog food, cold drinks and snacks. Lounge double doors opens on to private garden with table & chairs - ideal for doggie comfort breaks (with bin for dog bags).
When weddings on, relax in lounge above. While the Castle is closed to non-wedding guests when a wedding is on, the Nurses Lounge (pics above and below) is open when the bedrooms in this building are in use.
Dogs and humans alike can relax in castle bar & sitting rooms when no wedding is booked.
Popular with ghost hunters, walkers and groups seeking budget rooms in the Brecon Beacons, Great for dogs as on ground floor near doggie area.
These 10 Budget B&B doubles and one single are small. 'Even' numbered rooms 2,4,6,8,10 have twin beds and are larger than odd numbered rooms 1,3,5,7,9 which have double beds. 11 is a single. Rooms 8 & 10 have an adjoining door between them, suiting a family.
Dressing Room - Wedding Couples & Guests!
Nurses Lounge also doubles as a dressing and make-up room for Brides (or Grooms!) & guests who need a room to get ready in. Reserve Nurses Rooms for your Bridesmaids the night before a wedding, so everyone can all be together before the Big Day.
