Staying at a Weekend

Weekends are rarely available due to weddings. Some Fridays may be available, and some occasional weekends where a wedding is not booked may have availability. Evening meals are also not served when a wedding has taken over all the ground floor function rooms. Special offers for D,B&B may apply on empty weekends.

Jack's D,B&B and dog friendly B&B deals are mainly for mid-week breaks, short breaks, and longer dogs welcome holidays at a discount to normal tariff.

We do have the weekend of 18th & 19th October with no events booked, now available on a discounted deal. The standard rate is £150 B&B on the first night if one night is falling on a Friday or Saturday and £70 for the second night if any night of the stay falls midweek.

If staying on the Friday and Saturday, B&B for two in an en-suite for the first night is £150 at the standard rate and for the second night, £75 at the discounted rate.

This makes a two night B&B break £220 for Thursday and Friday. A two night B&B break for two taking the Friday and Saturday 18 & 19/10/2019 is £225.

There is also an excellent Dinner & B&B offer as follows:

£175 for 1 double room on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast Basis for one night.

This is only £25 extra for Dinner for two, worth £25/ head, saving you £25 on the normal £50 for an evening meal for two.

£235 for 1 double room for 2 nights B&B with Dinner for two on one night only.

This is only adding £10 to the two night 'B&B only' discounted rate of £225 above, for Dinner for two worth £50. This is the best value deal, saving £40 on the evening meal worth £50 for two.

£285 for 1 double room for 2 nights on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast Basis for both nights. This would normally be £225 for the discounted B&B and £100 for the four evening meals, making £325, but at £285 you are saving a further £40 on the evening meals.

Dining out if a Wedding is on

So long as you do not mind being here when there is a wedding party around, some en-suite rooms are available on the non-blue dates (see the calendar of event bookings above each month on the availability page).

We can offer 'B&B only' to non wedding guests on most non-blue dates. You can dine at one of three local hostelries, including one gastro pub, one restaurant pub, and one dog friendly real ale pub, all within two miles of the Castle and dine in on non wedding nights.

Ghost Tours

We offer a once monthly ghost tour which you can join as an individual or couple.

Dog Friendly B&B Country Park at Craig y Nos Castle

Christmas Period

1 night - Christmas Day £140 B&B for two in an en-suite – MUST have Christmas Lunch at £60 each so total is £260 – with non-refundable £120 deposit.

2 Nights - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day £280 B&B and the Christmas Lunch is £60 each total is £400 – with non-refundable £120 deposit.

2 Nights - Christmas Day and Boxing Day £280 B&B and the Christmas Lunch is £60 each total is £400 – with non-refundable £120 deposit.

3 Nights – Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day £350 (essentially Xmas Day £140 and the other 2 days combined £210) and the Christmas Lunch is £60 each which comes to £470 – with non-refundable £120 deposit.

A full menu will be served Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

Christmas Day evening is a buffet at £15 per person (for those that are staying Christmas Day and had Christmas Lunch, otherwise the evening buffet is £19.95 for non-residents.

Children Christmas Dinner ½ price up to age 15, Buffet ½ price up to age 15.

Serving Traditional Christmas Lunch, Turkey and all the trimmings plus a choice of additional roast dinners.

Jack's Dog Friendly Stay Deals are best taken midweek when our Castle is quiet and peaceful. Enjoy a nice rest, some pleasant walks (whatever the weather) right on your doorstep, and we all hope you will want to come back often.

Weekends if available are £150 per night B&B for two, disccounted on Jack's Dog Friendly B&B & Tour Deal for the second night. You get 50% off on the second and each subsequent night. B&B break deals including a weekend are: £225 B&B & Tour for 2 nights - save £75.00, or £295.00 for 3 nights - save £145.00.

As evening meals are not served on Wedding nights, you may book to dine in the local pubs instead. There are two good local pubs to go to - Penycae Inn one mile south of Castle, a gastro pub with lovely meals, and the Ancient Briton 2 miles south of Castle for more casual dining, with a HUGE selection of local real ales. Both pubs are in Penycae. Pre-booking is recommended, especially on weekends in the summer.
