Rhossilli Bay - My oh My
what an endless Run!
Well, I'll sleep well after this marathon beach. Must be 8 miles to end and back.
They filmed a Torchwood episode here - helicopters racing along the headland to a deserted house all on its own up on the headland.
No one lives there; been a succession of suicides in that lonely old house. Shows how few people can live in such remoteness. Not without some good canine company at any rates!
Amazing large sandy beach popular with surfers and hang gliders.
There's a campsite half way along with a café. We can park here and just do half the walk.
Or we can start at Rhossilli itself and walk the length of the beach and back.
At low tide you can walk for miles before you reach the sea.
Nice firm sand. At the far end, a deserted 'private' beach. What a forever walk back! Exhausting for owners and us dogs alike.
If we tire of miles of sand, let's follow the path around the headland from Rhossilii. We can explore above the beach, around the peninsula to Worms Head.
Lots of rather colourful snazzy looking snails on the paths of this scenic dog walk.
