Talybont on Usk Reservoir: Circular Dog Walk
From what I could see there is no right of way through these fields, so the less persistent might be tempted to walk back the way they came along the forest tracks or continue the circular walk down the road which runs the length of the reservoir. Since the road is quite busy, I opted for the fields.
Following sheep and cattle paths, but encountering no livestock, we hugged the shore, all the way back to the dam. This avoided the rather busy single track road this side of the reservoir.
Set in the central Brecon Beacons, this is a popular place to visit with a single track road crossing over the 380 metre long dam to a small car parking area and forestry walks on the far side.
